DC police apprehended suspect for shooting near Nationals Park, while search for second suspect remains ongoing

A shooting that occurred on Saturday night near Nationals Park has led to the arrest of one man by the police in D.C., according to DC News Now. The authorities are still on the lookout for another individual who may have been involved in the incident.

At approximately 9:18 p.m., the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrived at the 1200 block of Half Street SE in response to reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, they discovered an injured man who had sustained gunshot wounds.

The individual was transported to a medical facility with injuries that were not life-threatening.

According to detectives, a man was hit by gunfire during an exchange of bullets between 29-year-old Deon Elonte Bookhardt and another suspect.

The authorities apprehended Brookhardt on charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Destruction of Property.
