A Long Island Bloods gang affiliate, who is heavily tattooed, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for a series of racketeering-related offenses. These include shootings, assaults, and home invasions that were aimed at his rivals as part of a violent campaign.
According to a statement by US Attorney Breon Peace, Howard Davis, also known as “Mousey,” has been sentenced to life imprisonment along with 132 years by a federal judge in Central Islip. Davis hails from Bellport, New York, and is 36 years old.
Peace expressed relief that Davis and his violent gang had finally been brought to justice after tormenting Long Island neighborhoods for years. He stated, “Today’s sentence puts an end to his reign of terror.”
According to prosecutors, in addition to his other crimes, he was responsible for breaking someone’s nose and kneecap during a bar fight, as well as selling dangerous drugs like fentanyl, heroin, and crack. He was also found to possess numerous firearms.
According to prosecutors, Davis had given strict orders to eliminate specific rivals, regardless of the time and place they were located.
It appears that his symphony of savagery, spanning from June 2016 to November 2017, did not come to a halt following his arrest.
According to Peace, Davis, who is famously known as “Mr. Fedup”, persuaded the mother of one of his children to provide false testimony to a federal grand jury. Additionally, he convinced another individual to smuggle drugs into the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan during the Christmas season of 2018.
Allegedly, during his time in prison, he committed nine disciplinary violations, including assaults and a slashing that resulted in a gash on his victim’s face.
On Tuesday, Ivan J. Arvelo, the head of Homeland Security Investigations’ New York field office, stated that Davis had terrorized Long Island communities by committing heinous crimes as a prolific gang leader.
Arvelo stated that the individual had taken the initiative to recruit other members of the Bloods to continue the cycle of violence. However, with today’s sentencing, he has been stripped of the violent power that he once possessed and was able to use without consequences.
According to Peace, Davis has been found guilty of all 48 charges mentioned in his indictment, which include attempted murder, assault, robbery, and drug and gun-related offenses.
