Maryland woman wins $50,000 lottery prize after experiencing itchy palm

A woman from Baltimore won $50,000 from a scratch-off lottery ticket after her superstition about her itchy palm turned out to be true.

According to Maryland Lottery officials, the woman, who is a Baltimore City employee and a regular lottery player, stated that she had no plans of purchasing any lottery tickets last Wednesday.

The player shared that they have been participating in the lottery for quite some time now, playing a couple of tickets each week, and usually opting for the $5 games.

As soon as an itch started to develop on the palm of the woman, her plans took a different turn.

She explained that if your palm is itchy, it could be a sign that you will be receiving some money soon.

While visiting the Baltimore Service Center on East Monument Street, a player purchased a Lots of Cash scratch-off ticket and was delighted to reveal a $50,000 prize.

The lucky winner reminisced, “I was completely convinced that the $50,000 match was a hoax. It seemed too good to be true.”

The ticket was double-checked by her by asking a cashier.

According to her, he told her to take it home at that moment.

She hasn’t made any plans yet for her windfall, according to the winner.

She couldn’t believe that it was real and exclaimed, “What a blessing!”
