KANSAS CITY, KAN. — A quiet neighborhood was shaken Saturday night after a shooting outside an apartment complex left two men dead and two others injured, according to the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department (KCKPD).
Officers responded around 9 p.m. to the scene near North 70th Terrace and Garden Drive, where they found two men with fatal gunshot wounds outside the building. Two additional victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Residents say the violence has rattled their sense of safety.
“Are we really safe? Are our kids really safe?” asked Sonia Marin, a local resident. “We’ve never had a problem here… But you never know who’s moving in or out.”
Marin described the area as generally peaceful, but noted recent changes in the neighborhood’s makeup.

No suspects have been identified or arrested as of Sunday evening.
