Lawmakers have returned to Topeka for 2025, with an expanded Republican super-majority following the November election.
The start of this year’s session took place on Monday, marking a significant day for many newly sworn-in lawmakers as they embarked on their legislative journeys.
Republicans came into this legislative session with an increased super-majority, courtesy of the November elections. This gives them the advantage of being able to impede Democratic governor Laura Kelly’s efforts to implement her agenda.
