FBI agent fatally shoots individual during warrant execution in Kansas City

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating a shooting incident that took place in Kansas City, Missouri. During the execution of a warrant by the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, an armed individual was shot and killed by an agent inside a residence.

The FBI reported that this incident took place in the 3000 block of NW 73rd Street, which is slightly northeast of NW 72nd Street and NW Waukomis Drive in Kansas City’s Northland, around 10 a.m.

According to a statement from the FBI, law enforcement officers approached a residence and, receiving no response, entered the premises. Inside, they came face-to-face with an individual who was armed.

Ethan Michael Gosch, a 34-year-old man, was shot and tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The FBI’s Inspection Division is currently investigating the shooting and has not provided any additional details at this time.
