The Texas Veterans Commission Has Expanded Its Assistance Program For Concho Valley Veterans

The Concho Valley Homepage reports that veterans, surviving spouses, and select active duty members in the Concho Valley can now receive additional funding assistance thanks to a partnership between the Texas Veterans Commission and the Concho Valley Community Action Agency (CVCAA).

You can receive assistance with your home mortgage or rent payments up to $6,000, as well as support with utility payments and up to three months of car insurance through the program.

According to Sidney Timmer, the Outreach and Marketing Director at CVCAA, disabled veterans will now have access to ADA-compliant homes and necessary repairs to make their homes weather-resistant. This program is aimed at addressing the critical needs of disabled veterans.

Timmer also mentioned that the funding assistance will now cover the repair of holes in floors, walls, or roofs – a service that was previously not available.
