The crash that occurred in Cass County’s Riverview Estates area on Friday night drew a response from the Missouri State Highway Patrol .
The crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Route Y, located south of Belton and northwest of Peculiar.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 40-year-old man from Peculiar was operating a 2023 Suzuki motorcycle heading north on Route Y. Unfortunately, he veered off the road, colliding with both a rock bluff and a guardrail.
The motorcycle rider was thrown off the bike and suffered severe injuries. Despite wearing a helmet during the accident, he had to be transported to a hospital in Kansas City for medical care.
