A 16-year-old girl, Zoe Matthews, has been indicted as an adult for her alleged involvement in a brutal roadside assault in Mason. She now faces charges of attempted murder and felonious assault. The attack took place in August along Innovation Way, near the southbound exit of Interstate 71.

The victim, an adult male, sustained serious injuries in the attack, which investigators claim was carried out by a group of people wielding baseball bats.

According to Mason Prosecutor Max Kinman, he has confirmed the severity of the victim’s injuries. Prosecutors claim that the group had been tailing the victim from Colerain Township and then confronted him at an intersection.

Five adults have been charged in the case, namely Derrick Floyd, Tiffany Parks, Britney Mathews, Corey Mathews, and De’Amber Mitchell. Each of them is facing charges of attempted murder and two counts of felonious assault.
