Texans on Mission assist hurricane recovery across multiple states

Hundreds of Texans are currently lending a helping hand in the hurricane recovery efforts taking place in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida.

Texans on Mission sent over 250 individuals to carry out their tasks.

According to Wendell Romans, some of the towns in the mountains have been completely wiped out by the falling trees.

Romans, the chainsaw coordinator from Texans on Mission, has recently returned to Texas after assisting in the recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene in North Carolina and Tennessee.

He is just one among the hundreds of individuals from DFW who have been sent to disaster zones as part of the Texans on Mission initiative.

He operates the chainsaw unit, going door to door and providing free tree and debris removal services.

Romans shared that when individuals finally grasp the concept, they often shed tears, and he empathetically joins them in their emotional release. He admitted to having a tender heart and expressed that this is how they handle such situations.

Romans believes that despite the devastation, there is hope for people to rebuild their lives. However, he also acknowledges the need for them to find a new place to start afresh.

According to him, the rebuilding process is inevitable. He anticipates that it will most likely take place in a different area due to the extensive destruction at the current location.

Texans on Mission are currently deployed in all three states. In the event that a call is received, Romans will be heading to Florida to assist with the recovery efforts following Hurricane Milton. However, he is also looking forward to taking some time to rest, even if it’s just for a little while.
