1 Person Died From A Gunshot Wound After A Truck Drove Through The Cuba Casino, Seneca Gaming & Entertainment Oil Springs

A public incident in Cuba today results in the death of an Allegany County man with no criminal history and a reputation as a model citizen among local law enforcement.

Police said a man drove his blue pickup vehicle through the front entrance of Seneca Gaming & Entertainment Oil Springs, better known as the Cuba Casino, about 45 minutes after it opened today.

The Allegany County 911 center received a call reporting an armed suspect after seeing a shotgun. Customers cannot make calls or send texts using the casino’s public wifi.

According to preliminary findings, police believe this was a domestic disagreement.

Following the crash, casino security approached the vehicle and discovered the firearm and the self-inflicted shooting.

The casino is located at 5374 West Shore Road, Cuba, adjacent to a Seneca-owned gas station. It solely has gaming machines on its premises. On June 30, 2022, an armed robbery took place at the institution. It debuted on July 4, 2014.
