Police: Boyfriend guns down DC woman in broad daylight

A suspect has been apprehended in connection with the fatal shooting of a lady in broad daylight in Northeast D.C. on Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect, Wyatt Michelin Swan of Northeast, is 48 years old. Prince George’s County apprehended Swan.

According to police, the shooting occurred in a domestic setting. The victim and the suspect were romantically involved.

A DC Superior Court arrest warrant sought Swan for first-degree murder while armed. Police believe the incident was planned. The district will extradite him to face charges.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred around 1 p.m. at the Hilltop Apartments on Eastern Avenue. The Metropolitan Police Department shot Teresa Francisco, 53, of Northeast several times before she rushed into a parking lot, crying for help while wearing only a white shirt and underpants.

When authorities arrived, they discovered a woman inside a car with gunshot wounds. She died there.
