An inmate escaped from a Northern California jail

Plumas County law enforcement is searching for an inmate characterized as “dangerous” who escaped from the county jail on Friday morning.

According to the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office, Caleb Duerr escaped the jail at 8 a.m. The jail is located in Quincy, approximately 160 miles northeast of Sacramento.

The agency reported that they last saw Duerr near an O’Reilly’s store in Quincy.

The agency released a photo of Duerr, identifying him as 39 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

The sheriff’s office claims that Duerr escaped wearing dark blue jail uniforms.

The organization requests that anybody who sees Duerr call 911.
