Church’s Chicken Employee Fatally Shot Outside Restaurant

According to Memphis Police, a tragic incident occurred on Monday night as an employee at Church’s Chicken was fatally shot outside the restaurant premises.

Around 9 p.m., authorities were called to a shooting incident that took place at Church’s Chicken located at 2963 Park Avenue in Orange Mound.

After getting some fresh air, the victim noticed that the woman had driven away in a teal-colored SUV from the lot.

Shortly after, a gunshot rang out and the teal SUV was captured on video hastily leaving the parking lot. The Memphis Police Department reports that the victim was discovered outside of the establishment.

Regional One was where she was taken after which she passed away.

As of now, there have been no arrests made regarding the matter.

According to a spokesperson from Church’s Texas Chicken, the employee in question had been a part of the company for approximately a year. The spokesperson provided the following statement:

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of one of our team members. Our deepest sympathies go out to their family during this trying time. We are currently cooperating with the Memphis Police Department as they conduct their investigation.
