A woman accused of murdering a church’s chicken employee has been indicted by a grand jury

A Grand Jury indicted the woman accused of killing a Church’s Chicken employee in Memphis, Tennessee.

Monica Williams was arrested on July 15 for first-degree murder and convicted felon in possession of a firearm, a week after Anitra West was shot and killed in the parking lot of Church’s Chicken, where she worked.

According to authorities, Williams and West argued about an order as Williams drove through the drive-thru. According to court papers, the incident occurred while West was on the phone with a buddy. The friend informed the detectives that she overheard the argument and heard the client yell at West, “I will kill you!”

The District Attorney’s Office can now proceed with trying Williams for the murder of Anitra West, following the Grand Jury indictment.
