A woman in Kansas City, Missouri has pleaded guilty to charges of stealing nearly $67,000 worth of merchandise from multiple stores in the area. The accused was sentenced yesterday in Platte County Circuit Court.

Asia Marshall, a 20-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, has pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery and 11 counts of stealing $750 or more, as stated in court documents.

According to the official records, Marshall received his sentencing on Thursday, August 15. He was handed down a seven-year prison term for each count, with all sentences running concurrently.

According to court documents, Marshall has been accused of repeatedly entering retailers, often accompanied by a group of other individuals. During these incidents, Marshall would place various items in shopping bags or baskets and then leave the store without making any payment.

In December 2023, a theft occurred at a Bath and Body Works store in Platte Co., resulting in an employee being physically assaulted and approximately $1,500 worth of store merchandise being vandalized. The suspects involved in this robbery successfully escaped with stolen merchandise valued at $1,500.

In September 2023, a group of females, led by Marshall, pulled off a daring heist, making off with over $6,000 worth of Sephora merchandise in a single swoop. Not content with their success, the group targeted a Victoria’s Secret Pink store at the shopping center on the same day, stealing a staggering 64 articles of clothing. With their baskets overflowing with stolen goods, they made a swift getaway.

Marshall was apprehended in January following numerous other incidents of robbery in the metro area. In an attempt to evade capture, Marshall concealed herself under a blanket and claimed to be 13 years old when confronted by the officers.
