According to Vibes, The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will continue distributing food stamps through August 28, 2024. However, recipients in certain states will receive their benefits earlier, as their states will deposit funds into Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards by August 20, 2024.
Four states are implementing this early distribution: New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, and Washington. The payment schedule for each state is as follows:
New Mexico SNAP Benefits
In New Mexico, SNAP recipients will receive their food stamp payments based on the last digit of their Social Security Number (SSN). Payments will be issued according to the following schedule:
- August 12: SSN ends in 06, 26, 46, 66, 86
- August 13: SSN ends in 17, 37, 57, 77, 97
- August 14: SSN ends in 07, 27, 47, 67, 87
- August 15: SSN ends in 18, 38, 58, 78, 98
- August 16: SSN ends in 08, 28, 48, 68, 88
- August 17: SSN ends in 19, 39, 59, 79, 99
- August 18: SSN ends in 09, 29, 49, 69, 89
- August 19: SSN ends in 10, 30, 50, 70, 90
- August 20: SSN ends in 00, 20, 40, 60, 80
Tennessee SNAP Benefits
In Tennessee, the distribution of SNAP benefits is also based on the last two digits of the head of household’s Social Security Number. The payment schedule is as follows:
- August 12: SSN ends in 55-59
- August 13: SSN ends in 60-64
- August 14: SSN ends in 65-69
- August 15: SSN ends in 70-74
- August 16: SSN ends in 75-79
- August 17: SSN ends in 80-84
- August 18: SSN ends in 85-89
- August 19: SSN ends in 90-94
- August 19: SSN ends in 95-99
Ohio SNAP Benefits
Ohio distributes SNAP benefits based on the last digit of the beneficiaries’ case number. The payment schedule is:
- August 12: Case number ends in 5
- August 13: Case number ends in 6
- August 14: Case number ends in 7
- August 15: Case number ends in 8
- August 16: Case number ends in 9
- August 17: Case number ends in 0
- August 18: Case number ends in 1
- August 19: Case number ends in 2
- August 20: Case number ends in 3
- August 21: Case number ends in 4
