According to Governor Evers, the recent amendments made by the Republican party indicate that they are taking over the decision-making process. He believes that the Republicans in the legislature are seeking to gain control over these matters. On the other hand, Republicans argue that the amendments are essential in order to keep a check on the governor’s unchecked power.
According to Democrats, allocating funds for disaster or emergency response would become more difficult as it would require legislation.
