Over the weekend, K9 Daisy of the Indiana State Police received a bullet and stab protective vest as a gift. This generous donation was made possible by the non-profit group, “Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.”
Daisy, the police K9, received a vest that pays tribute to Hobbs, a fellow K9 from Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away. The vest features a memorial embroidery of Hobbs on its front and was tailored to perfectly fit Daisy’s size.
The organization has been providing vests to K9s in all 50 states since its establishment in 2009. Through the generous support of private and corporate donations, they have been able to donate over 5,700 vests, with a total value of $6.9 million.
