A 19-year-old is in custody after allegedly pulling a gun during a road rage incident in Kansas City and taking hundreds of dollars from the other driver.

Court records from Jackson County, Missouri, filed on Wednesday, April 16, show Marcel Hill, 19, has been charged after reportedly pointing a gun at another driver following a crash.

According to a probable cause statement from the Kansas City Police Department, the incident occurred around 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers responded to reports of a road rage situation and found a victim who claimed Hill had aimed a gun at him after their vehicles collided.

Investigators determined Hill believed the victim owed him money due to the crash. He allegedly followed the man to a co-worker’s house, took $200, then pointed the gun at him again to demand insurance information.

Officers arrested Hill at the scene as his vehicle was being towed. He admitted to threatening the victim with a firearm, even though he wasn’t legally old enough to possess one.

Hill faces charges of robbery, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. If convicted, he could face a life sentence. A bond review hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, with a preliminary hearing set for 2 p.m. on May 14.

As of Sunday, April 20, Hill remains in custody on a $50,000 bond. Authorities have not released additional details.
