Kansas City police are investigating a dramatic exchange of gunfire between vehicles in broad daylight at a busy Midtown intersection.
The shootout occurred just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, at 39th Street and Broadway Boulevard. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing occupants of two vehicles open fire on one another before fleeing the area.
A short time later, a man suffering from gunshot wounds arrived at a nearby hospital and is currently in critical condition, according to authorities.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and have not yet released information on suspects or additional injuries.
