DONALD Trump has deployed colossal 27,000lb “Bunker Buster” bombs on Houthi rebels using B-2 stealth bombers, issuing a chilling warning to Iran.

Just days ago, suspected US airstrikes in Yemen’s capital left several people dead after the President vowed to bring peace to the region, following a fiery threat.

B-2 bombers based in Diego Garcia have been targeting underground Houthi hideouts with GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOPs), according to Fox News.

These bunker-busting explosives are the most powerful non-nuclear weapons in the US arsenal. Known for their precision and limited availability, they send a clear message to Iran as nuclear deal negotiations continue to stall.

Trump has previously condemned Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warning of “great danger” if no new nuclear agreement is reached.

The MOP, developed in 2004, is engineered to destroy heavily fortified underground facilities. Due to its immense 15-tonne weight, only B-2 bombers can carry it.

By using the MOP, the US aims to wipe out critical Houthi infrastructure—missile storage, launch sites, and command centers—some of which may be hidden within mountainous terrain linked to Iran.

The strike is a stark reminder of America’s advanced firepower and readiness to eliminate fortified threats, signaling to Iran that the US will act decisively if provoked.

Each B-2 bomber can carry a massive 25-tonne payload, allowing them to deliver powerful blows in a single run.

In the recent strikes, at least six people were reported killed in suspected US bombings targeting the Houthis in Yemen.
