A PRIEST was dragged from the pulpit at gunpoint by armed kidnappers, forcing him down the aisle in front of shocked worshippers.

US Pastor Josh Sullivan, 45, was abducted in front of his wife and children, along with up to 50 of his congregation, during a sermon in South Africa.

Josh Sullivan was taken by four armed men, who forced him out of the church while three others robbed the congregation. His family watched in horror as the father-of-three was pushed out of the church with a pistol aimed at his head.

The men then drove off in Sullivan’s silver Toyota Fortuner, which was later found abandoned several miles away, with no sign of the kidnappers.

South African police confirmed the incident, stating that four armed and masked men entered the church during the sermon. They robbed two cell phones before kidnapping the 45-year-old pastor and fleeing the scene.

Captain Andrew Beetge, a police spokesperson, confirmed that while church members were ordered to remain silent, Sullivan was taken at gunpoint by the masked men.

Sullivan’s mother, Tonya Morton Rinket, from Tennessee,  shared a heartfelt post on Facebook, asking for continued prayers for her son, daughter-in-law, and their family during this traumatic time.
