A Florida mother of three, Porshe Nikita Shanee’ Streeter, was tragically shot and killed while sleeping beside her young children in January 2024. Over a year later, authorities have arrested her boyfriend, Saun Rainge, 32, and his alleged accomplice, Benjamin Garmon, 26, charging them both with first-degree murder.
Streeter, 30, was shot 10 times in her Orange County home on January 23, 2024. Her children — just 1, 2, and 10 years old at the time — were in bed with her but miraculously unharmed during the fatal shooting.
At the time of the crime, Rainge and Garmon attempted to stage the murder as a home invasion, even calling police themselves, according to Fox 35 Orlando. Initially, there wasn’t enough evidence to contradict their claims, but detectives suspected foul play early on.
An affidavit revealed that Streeter and Rainge had a tumultuous relationship, often marked by public arguments. Though Rainge didn’t officially live at Streeter’s home, he was frequently present. Authorities suspected the motive may have been linked to a custody dispute over their children — Rainge was their father, according to CBS 12.
On April 3, 2025, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced that both men were arrested and formally charged. The investigation had revealed a murder-for-hire plot, allegedly orchestrated by Rainge, who is accused of enlisting Garmon to carry out the killing.
“Rainge, the father of those children, enlisted Garmon to shoot and kill Porshe, and claimed it was a home invasion,” the Sheriff’s Department said in an Instagram post. “Rainge’s story didn’t ring true for our homicide detectives, who have worked tirelessly on this case for more than a year to secure justice for Porshe.”
The case has gripped the local community with its chilling details — a mother gunned down in the presence of her children, and a disturbing betrayal by the father of her kids. Despite the tragedy, investigators remained committed and ultimately secured charges they hope will lead to justice.
Both Rainge and Garmon are currently being held without bond.
