HOUSTON – Jayden Dandridge, a suspect wanted in the Memphis shooting that injured Houston rapper Sauce Walka and killed Memphis rapper Sayso P, was found shot to death in Houston last week.

Key Details:

  • Dandridge was wanted for the March 23 death  shooting in Memphis that killed Letorian Hunt, 27 (aka Sayso P), and injured Sauce Walka (Albert Mondane, 34).

  • He was found dead in Houston on March 27 around 10:40 a.m., with multiple gunshot wounds.

  • The Harris County medical examiner ruled his death a homicide.

  • Police have not named any suspects in Dandridge’s killing.

Memphis Shooting & Charges

Dandridge, 21, was facing multiple charges in connection to the Memphis shooting, including:

  • First-degree murder

  • Two counts of attempted first-degree murder

  • Two counts of firearm-related felonies

  • Auto theft

The second suspect, Kevin Brown, 22, remains at large and is facing similar charges.

Background on the Shooting

The Memphis shooting occurred March 23 at the Westin Hotel, near Lt. George W. Lee Avenue. Multiple gunmen arrived in a white, four-door vehicle and opened fire, killing Sayso P on the scene and injuring Sauce Walka.

Investigation Continues

Sauce Walka later stated in an interview that he put himself in the wrong place and discouraged retaliation.
