Ponca City police are searching for a suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery at the Stop-N-Go on 501 W. Highland Ave. early on March 30.
Witnesses described the suspect as a Black male wearing a blue hoodie and a white ski mask. He reportedly entered the store, pointed a gun at a customer, and ordered him behind the counter before demanding money from the clerk.
During the incident, a customer confronted the suspect, leading to a struggle over the firearm. The customer sustained minor injuries but managed to disarm the suspect, who dropped the weapon before fleeing. Police have since recovered the firearm.
The injured customer received treatment at the scene and was released.
