WEBSTER, Texas – A deadly shooting in a movie theater parking lot along the Gulf Freeway left two women dead and a male suspect critically injured Monday night, according to Webster police.

The incident occurred before 9:45 p.m. near a Cinemark theater, just north of NASA Bypass. Officers arrived to find two adult females and one male suffering from gunshot wounds, Webster Police Chief Pete Bacon reported.

Both women were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to their injuries. The male suspect, who suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was also transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Authorities initially reported that the suspect had died but later clarified that he remained alive.

At the scene, investigators found a BMW SUV with a shattered front passenger window, surrounded by crime scene tape and first responders’ medical equipment.

The Webster Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting
