The Garden City Police Department is currently investigating cases of suspected fentanyl-related overdoses.
The GCPD has reported that they have attended to multiple overdoses within the last 24 hours. Fortunately, none of these incidents have resulted in fatalities. However, the police are issuing a cautionary message to the public.

According to GCPD, fentanyl remains the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-45, driving the overdose epidemic. It is being utilized to create counterfeit prescription pills or combined with various street drugs, both in powder and pill forms, to fuel addiction. GCPD urges everyone to have open conversations with their friends and family about the dangers of fentanyl, emphasizing that no drug is worth risking one’s life.
