Jason W. Beach, an inmate at the Platte County, Missouri Detention Center,
A series of thefts at Home Depot stores across several states has led to multiple charges against a Missouri man. This individual has a criminal history that spans several years.
A recent court filing from Platte County, Missouri, on Friday, December 27, discloses that 51-year-old Jason W. Beach, residing in Elsberry, is facing charges related to a series of thefts at various Home Depot stores across the country.
On November 13, 2024, a theft occurred at the Home Depot on 8900 NW Skyview Ave. in Kansas City, as stated in a probable cause statement from the Kansas City Police Department. Two days later, an off-duty officer was informed about the incident. The officer was alerted by an asset protection employee who reported that Beach had stolen tools valued at almost $300 from the store. When asked to return the stolen items, Beach refused and was subsequently arrested by store personnel.
Investigators found out that Beach had previous encounters with law enforcement. In late October, he was arrested for another theft at the Home Depot on 111 E. Linwood Blvd. in Kansas City. Moreover, Beach had been prohibited from entering several Home Depot stores in different states, including Oklahoma, Texas, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Iowa, and Missouri, due to his involvement in previous theft incidents.
According to court documents, Beach has a history of theft convictions, with prior convictions in Iowa in 2024, California in 2021, and Texas in 2017.
Beach has been charged with burglary and stealing following his recent arrest. On Friday, a warrant was issued for his arrest, with a bond set at $25,000. As part of the conditions for his release, Beach is prohibited from contacting any Home Depot stores and will be subject to GPS monitoring.
Beach is currently in custody and a court date has not yet been scheduled. No further details regarding the case have been released at this time.
