A woman is facing a range of charges after leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase through several areas in the Kansas City region late Friday night. According to the Claycomo Police Department, the pursuit began in downtown Kansas City and continued northbound on I-35 before multiple agencies were involved in the operation.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol initially responded, with assistance from Claycomo police. As the woman sped through traffic, the Kansas City Police Department’s helicopter kept an eye on the situation from above. To stop the suspect, Claycomo officers deployed stop sticks, which successfully deflated the woman’s tires, forcing her to pull over.
She was arrested on the spot and is now facing multiple charges from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The authorities did not release additional details about the charges.
