Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating a homicide that occurred overnight in the 900 block of East 134th Street. Authorities responded to a welfare check call shortly before 3:50 a.m. on December 27, 2024. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered signs of a possible disturbance inside the apartment.
Inside, they found 39-year-old Tiffany Chrisman, an adult female, who was unresponsive and appeared to have suffered trauma. She was later pronounced dead at the scene. Initial findings suggest that an altercation between Chrisman and a man escalated into a physical confrontation.
Through the assistance of the public and local police, detectives were able to locate a male person of interest, who is now in custody for questioning. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy.
