'Baby Driver' actor Hudson Meek tragically passes away after falling from a moving vehicle

Hudson Meek, a 16-year-old actor known for his role in “Baby Driver,” tragically passed away last week in a heartbreaking incident. He fell from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, as reported by CNN affiliate WVTM.

According to CNN affiliate WVTM, the teenage boy suffered from blunt force trauma after falling on December 19. He was immediately taken to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries on December 21, as confirmed by the Jefferson County Coroner’s office.

A post on his Instagram account reflects on the 16 years he spent on this earth, acknowledging that although his time was tragically cut short, he managed to achieve a great deal and leave a lasting impact on all those he encountered.

The teenage actor has a diverse range of acting and voice-over credits, with one of their most notable roles being the portrayal of a younger version of Ansel Elgort’s character, Baby, in the 2017 film “Baby Driver.”

Hudson Meek made an appearance at the premiere of “A Different Man” during the 50th Deauville American Film Festival on September 09, 2024 in Deauville, France.

Meek’s obituary painted a picture of a teenager who was described as “reflective and thoughtful,” with a passion for traveling and a love for the outdoors.

“He had a deep passion for snow-skiing, fearlessly conquering the most challenging trails that even the rest of the family hesitated to try,” wrote the obituary. “Spending time at the lake, engaging in tubing and wakeboarding, brought him immense joy.”
