Two Kansas City men, Ernest Hall, 61, and Rodney Ellison, 57, have been charged by a federal grand jury on 12 counts, including conspiracy to illegally traffic and possess firearms. The charges stem from allegations that the men sold firearms to an ATF informant over a period spanning from June 15 to November 26, 2024.

According to an affidavit, the informant purchased six firearms from Ellison and five from Hall during multiple transactions. A search warrant executed on November 26 revealed one firearm at Hall’s residence and seven at Ellison’s residence. Both men are accused of engaging in firearm sales without a license and face additional charges, including five counts of trafficking firearms and possession of firearms by felons.

Currently, Hall and Ellison remain in federal custody without bail as the case moves forward.
