Kansas is set to see significant growth in its tourism sector thanks to more than $400,000 in funding announced by Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland. The money, allocated through the Attraction Development Grant program,, will support 13 projects aimed at enhancing local attractions and boosting tourism across the state.
Toland emphasized that these grants would create transformative experiences that not only attract out-of-state visitors but also enhance the quality of life for local residents. The initiative is designed to foster economic development by increasing visitation, creating jobs, and stimulating local economies.
Bridgette Jobe, Kansas Tourism Director, highlighted that the funding will support both new and existing projects, helping to attract more visitors and ensure sustainable growth across communities in the state. A total of $401,067 has been awarded this round to various public, private, and nonprofit entities.
