Salina Woman Arrested After Bathroom Altercation

A heated dispute over bathroom renovations took a violent turn in Salina, Kansas, leading to the arrest of 53-year-old Patania Sumners. The incident took place on Tuesday at an apartment complex housed in the former Roosevelt-Lincoln Junior High School on South Eighth Street.

According to authorities, the altercation began as an argument between Sumners and a 39-year-old resident regarding changes made to the bathroom. The disagreement quickly escalated, with Sumners allegedly grabbing the victim by the hair, dragging her into the bathroom, and punching her multiple times.

Emergency Medical Services treated the victim for minor injuries at the scene. Sumners was subsequently arrested and booked into the Saline County Jail. She faces charges of aggravated kidnapping and battery.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released further details about the dispute or the circumstances leading up to the altercation.
