Man found dead in vehicle on Kansas City exit ramp, police seek shooter

Kansas City police are still on the lookout for the person responsible for the fatal shooting of a man found inside a vehicle near an interstate exit ramp.

The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department  received a call around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, regarding an individual who was found unconscious in their vehicle near the Pick-n-Pull auto parts store at the intersection of I-435 and Truman Rd. Emergency crews were immediately dispatched to the scene to provide assistance.

Law enforcement officials are treating this incident as a homicide and, as of 7 p.m., no one has been taken into custody for the crime. Detectives are currently at the scene, carefully examining it for any possible additional evidence.

The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) has identified that the shooting initially took place in Independence. Now, the investigation has been handed over to the Independence Police Department for further inquiry.
