Identifications of individuals involved in deadly Lee’s Summit shooting revealed by investigators

Authorities have disclosed the names of the individuals who were involved in a fatal shooting in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

The Lee’s Summit Police Department announced on Saturday, November 23, revealing the identity of the victim in Friday’s shooting as Craig L. Scott, aged 51. Furthermore, the shooter has been identified as Keith J. Marshall, a 31-year-old resident of Kansas City.

Law enforcement officials received a call at approximately 8 a.m. on Friday reporting a shooting in the vicinity of SW Rutherford Dr. and SW Maryville Pl., just south of Highway 150. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene. According to the caller, Scott and Marshall had prior acquaintance with each other.

Marshall has been arrested and is currently held at the Lee’s Summit Jail. He is facing several charges, including second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, first-degree burglary, and unlawful use of a weapon. The bond set for Marshall is $250,000 in cash.
