A man was fatally shot in Lee’s Summit on Friday morning, according to police. The authorities have taken a suspect into custody concerning the incident.
The Lee’s Summit Police Department was alerted to an incident at around 8 a.m. on Friday. The call came from the 2100 block of SW Rutherford Drive.
According to the police, the suspect turned himself into the authorities after initially leaving the home before the officers arrived.
The shooting location can be found to the south of 150 Highway.
