Man in Kansas City charged three years after Christmas shooting that resulted in death

A man from Kansas City has been charged in relation to a fatal shooting that occurred on Christmas Day in 2021.

According to court records filed on Thursday, November 21, Duron T. Carter Jr., aged 25, has been charged with murder in connection to a deadly shooting that took place on Christmas. The records were filed at the Jackson County Circuit Court in Missouri.

According to court records, the shooting incident involving Clifford Harris, 38, occurred on December 25, 2021, at approximately 11:45 a.m. Harris was discovered deceased inside a vehicle near the intersection of Raytown Rd. and E. 47th St.

Carter has been charged with murder in the first degree or accessory, two counts of armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon or accessory as a preliminary investigation revealed that shots were fired from inside the vehicle he was in before it left the scene.

Carter is currently incarcerated in Jackson County without bail. A hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, December 2nd. No additional details have been disclosed at this time.
