Two individuals apprehended for ATM skimming operation in Kansas City

Two Venezuelan nationals have been apprehended by the police for their involvement in an ATM skimming theft ring that operated across various cities in both Missouri and Kansas.

Darwin G. Moreno-Conde, aged 24, and Yorbin Y. Allen-Hernandez, aged 44, were captured after a thorough search that spanned from Kansas City to St. Louis. The arrest of these individuals took place in Richmond, Missouri, specifically in Ray County, which is situated to the east of the KC Metro area.

An investigation into a skimming device that was placed on a local ATM on November 13 and compromised multiple accounts led to the arrests.

A gray Ford Fusion was caught on surveillance footage, which is believed to be connected to the installation and removal of the skimmer.

The suspect vehicle’s movements around the Kansas City Metro and St. Louis were traced using license plate tracking and Flock cameras.

According to court documents, the suspects were connected to skimming incidents in various locations, such as Blue Springs, Liberty, Lee’s Summit, Raymore, and Edwardsville, Kansas.

According to court documents, Hernandez received an order of removal in absentia from a Michigan immigration judge.
