Federal Meth Distribution Charges Lead to Guilty Pleas from 5 Members of Oklahoma Drug Trafficking Network

Five individuals involved in a drug trafficking network have recently pleaded guilty to federal drug and drug-related charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Rito Alvarado Gomez has admitted his guilt in a drug conspiracy case. In addition, Jose Alberto Alvarado Gomez, Ricardo Villeda, and Iris Yoselin Luna-Herrera have also pleaded guilty for their involvement in the distribution of methamphetamine.

Ana Isabel Frayre Barboza has admitted to being guilty of misprision of felony.

According to the indictment, the defendants collaborated to distribute methamphetamine in the Eastern District of Oklahoma and various other locations from 2018 until March 2024.

The DEA, along with several other agencies, conducted an investigation that led to these allegations.

All the defendants, except for Barboza, will be held in custody by the United States Marshals until their sentencing. However, Barboza has been granted permission to remain on bond until he is sentenced.
