Kansas City Man Charged with Murder in Strawberry Hill Shooting

A Kansas City, Kansas man has been charged with second-degree murder following a deadly shooting in the Strawberry Hill neighborhood. David Marcos, 25, was arrested and charged after allegedly shooting and killing 21-year-old Daniel Thurman on November 8. The incident occurred near North 6th Street and Splitlog Avenue, close to The Easy Inn Bar.

According to the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office, Marcos is accused of “unlawfully, feloniously, and intentionally” killing Thurman. He is currently held on a $200,000 bond as the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department (KCKPD) Major Case Unit continues its investigation.
