A Wisconsin father is facing accusations of throwing his 8-month-old baby against a wall after becoming frustrated with a video game while taking care of the child.
Last week, the police in Milwaukee received a report regarding possible child abuse at a local hospital, according to WISN, CBS 58 and FOX 6.
Jalin White has been taken into custody on allegations of child abuse and child neglect, as stated in online jail records.
According to a criminal complaint and investigators’ accounts, CBS 58 and FOX 6 reported that White, 20, was responsible for caring for the baby while the mother was away.
According to investigators, the child had injuries in various stages of healing, including a swollen eye, as well as injuries on his hands and leg. Upon examination at the hospital, a scan uncovered additional injuries such as fractured ribs, a skull fracture, and a broken collarbone.
According to WISN and FOX 6, the police alleged in the complaint that the child had other injuries in different stages of healing. This could possibly indicate that he had been abused at different periods of time.
According to the complaint, White provided law enforcement with multiple conflicting accounts during the investigation, including one where he blamed the child’s mother. However, all of these accounts were found to be false.
According to the complaint, the father reportedly confessed to becoming furious with his son’s performance in a competitive NBA 2K game and admitted to angrily throwing him against a wall. This information was reported by FOX 6 and WISN.
According to reports, he claimed to have heard a loud thud after forcefully throwing his son against the wall.
According to the complaint, part of his alleged confession revealed that he had hit his head hard on the wall.
“I heard the wall. It was a hard impact on his head,” he continued. “I could hear the sound of the wall after I threw him.”
According to police accounts, White allegedly became angry when he was losing by two points in the game.
