Kansas City Homicide Leaves One Dead After Shooting Near 75th and Paseo

Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Friday evening in Kansas City, Missouri, leaving one man dead.

Just before 6 p.m. on November 8, officers responded to reports of a shooting at East 75th Street and The Paseo. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located a vehicle stopped in the southbound lanes of Paseo. Inside, they found an adult male victim who had been shot and was unresponsive.

Officers provided immediate assistance until emergency medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was sitting in his vehicle when an unknown suspect shot him from outside the car.

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators are currently processing evidence and canvassing the area for witnesses.
