Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in I-70 Crash After Being Thrown from Bike

Kansas City Man Sentenced to Nearly 27 Years for Heroin Conspiracy and Illegal Firearm Possession

A motorcycle accident on I-70 left 20-year-old Damon Neal from Harrisonville, Missouri, with life-threatening injuries on Wednesday evening. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:45 p.m. near the westbound I-70 and 18th Street exit in Kansas City.

Investigators reported that Neal was speeding on his 2018 Harley Davidson when he attempted to pass a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 36-year-old Alfredo Arteaga Delgado of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Neal’s motorcycle collided with the back of the pickup truck, causing Delgado’s vehicle to veer left and hit the inside barrier.

Neal, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact and was rushed to the University of Kansas Medical Center. Delgado, wearing his seatbelt, sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
