Suspect in Kansas kidnapping case awaits extradition from Missouri

The man who allegedly committed a kidnapping in Kansas is currently awaiting extradition as authorities discovered him hiding in Kansas City, Missouri.

Chase M. Bennett, 22, the man who was wanted for kidnapping in Johnson County, Kansas, has been apprehended in Kansas City, according to records filed on Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court.

An extradition waiver was filed in Jackson County, indicating that Bennett had been wanted by the State of Kansas for an aggravated kidnapping charge filed in Johnson County. Judge R. Travis Willingham signed the waiver.

Bennett is currently in custody in Jackson County and is awaiting extradition back to Johnson County. At this time, he is being held without bond and no additional information has been made available.
