Two individuals arrested after stolen vehicle crash results in death of Hutchinson woman

Officers spotted the stolen vehicle stopping at Walmart located at 29th and Rock Road around noon. In an attempt to stop it, they used spike strips, which successfully deflated two tires. However, the vehicle managed to escape and, in the process, collided with a police vehicle.

A man was apprehended by officers while a female suspect managed to steal another vehicle from the business. The woman swiftly fled south on Webb Road and then headed west on 29th Street.

According to Moses, the stolen van collided with a sedan at the intersection of 29th and Wilderness. Tragically, the sedan was being driven by a 43-year-old woman who lost her life at the scene of the accident.

After being evaluated at the hospital, the 24-year-old female suspect was arrested.
