A freeze warning has been issued for Thursday morning, affecting several west-side valleys in Oregon and California. Temperatures in these areas could plummet to as low as 30°F, with some regions even reaching 25°F, between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m.
The freeze will have an impact on Oregon’s Rogue, Applegate, and Illinois valleys. This includes areas in southern Douglas County like Azalea and Glendale. In California, the freeze warning covers the Scott, Shasta, and lower Klamath valleys, as well as the Mount Shasta region.
The National Weather Service warns that the current cold temperatures pose a danger to plants, pets, and unprotected property. It is crucial for residents in the valley to take necessary precautions to safeguard sensitive outdoor vegetation and animals.
Residents should be prepared for freezing conditions as a freeze warning is expected to remain in effect until 10 a.m. on Thursday. Cool conditions are expected to persist into Friday morning, so it is important to stay updated with local forecasts.
