More information has been disclosed regarding a guy arrested in connection with several road rage incidents in Tennessee and Alabama.
Following several reports of road rage in southern Lincoln County from October 18 to October 21, authorities arrested James William Moore, 45, of Lincoln County, Tennessee.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation and charged Moore with vandalism, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, and disorderly conduct. The Lincoln County Jail found him in possession of contraband during his booking, leading to an additional charge of introducing contraband into a penal facility.
Lincoln County, Tennessee, is holding Moore on $105,000 bail. The investigation may lead to the filing of additional charges, according to authorities.
On Monday morning, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama received a report of a road rage incident involving Moore at a Walmart in Hazel Green. According to deputies, the altercation started near Taft, Tennessee, when Moore allegedly chased the victim, hit their vehicle, and fired a revolver. Moore then pursued the victim to Walmart, where he used a baseball bat to hit the victim’s car before fleeing. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries.
Various charges led to Moore’s eventual incarceration in Lincoln County.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the Hazel Green incident and identifying Moore’s motive.
Officials noted that this case is unrelated to the separate road rage incident near Hazel Green Pharmacy that occurred on Saturday.
