Woman sentenced to prison for setting 2 puppies on fire in Ohio

A woman has been sentenced to prison for setting two puppies on fire in Ohio last year.

Aaliyah Phillips was sentenced to one year and one day in prison after pleading guilty in June to one count of animal crushing and one count of controlled narcotic distribution, according to CBS affiliate WTOL in Toledo.

Phillips allegedly put two American bulldog puppies into a fire she ignited in July 2023 and sold fentanyl-laced narcotics, according to WTVG TV in Toledo.

The dog’s owner was informed that she threw the puppies into a fire.

He showed the authorities the puppies, which were dead and badly burned.
